Tesla is looking for new locations “out of the box” to expand services

Tesla is looking for new locations to expand its service capabilities in multiple markets, including the Bay Area, Atlanta, Puerto Rico, etc. (Adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []). push({});
Last year, after CEO Elon Musk admitted to “stupidly overseeing” Tesla’s service coverage and plans to open more service centers around the world, Tesla published several reports on expanding services Scope statement.
The growth is relatively slow, and Tesla only opened 21 new locations worldwide between October 2019 and March 2020.
As of the last report, the annual growth rate of Tesla stores and service centers was 15%, while global deliveries were 40%.
Tesla Motors President Jerome Guillen (Jerome Guillen) went to LinkedIn to seek “instantly available” space in at least six markets to open new service centers:
Tesla continues to expand the scope of services. There will be some exciting opportunities in the coming weeks. Still looking for suitable spaces in Los Gatos/Campbell (CA), South Atlanta, Glendale/NW Phoenix (AZ), Naples (FL) and Puerto Rico. If you know there is space available, please contact me.
Musk has previously pointed out that he believes that service centers are one of Tesla’s biggest assets to drive demand.
If people have a Tesla service center within a reasonable distance, people will be more willing to buy a car. Therefore, the CEO said that expanding the service center and Supercharger network will help Tesla attract more customers.
In the past, especially after the Model 3 was launched, some owners were waiting weeks to book a service.
The automaker is not only expanding the location of the service center to solve this problem, but Tesla is also expanding its fleet of mobile service vehicles and technicians.
As of March 2020, Tesla has 756 mobile service vehicles that can perform the most common service tasks anytime and anywhere, thereby helping local service centers to reduce the workload.
With the pandemic, automakers began to provide “contactless” services by remotely unlocking cars for mobile technicians.
Tesla is a transportation and energy company. It sells cars in the “Tesla Motors” division and stationary battery packs for home, commercial and utility scale projects in the “Tesla Energy” division.
